We visited Old Orchard Beach for my birthday and decided to try this place and was the best decision we made.

Nice homey feel, air conditioned, clean place. Waitress greeted us right away as soon as we entered even though they are busy.

My boyfriend had pancakes bigger than his face, nice fluffy, moist pancakes. I had the Maine Crab Scrambler and its was soooooo good.

    Definitely recommend this place!!

Went there for breakfast twice while staying in Old Orchard Beach and it is a cute, small hometown cafe.  Great service and food, and quick delivery.  Had the kielbasa omelette and it was delicious.  Next day was the omelette and pick 5 items.  Cheese was missing and too much spinach but was still very good.

Very very very tight squeeze.  My daughter dropped her fork, bent down to get it and her hair ended up in the person next to us' food. (I felt awful).  Guess that's what to expect at a restaurant in OOB during the summer :)
20 minute wait, food was good and waitress was nice.  When we arrived, I was getting a headache from not having caffeine.  I asked the waitress for a cup while I waited and she got me one right away.  I was very thankful!

While I certainly have a deep appreciation for local places, I have little to no appreciation for lack of effort or outright lies.

Out on a Sunday morning as a family I wanted to take us somewhere new. I was happy to make the drive out to find this little place near Old Orchard Beach. We only had to wait a few minutes since it was relatively early in the morning, but it did get crowded. The place itself has maybe a dozen or so tables as well as counter seating of a limited fashion.

So why do I highlight in the first paragraph lack of effort? As you can see from the pictures, The Omelette I ordered which is called the o o B, even though it's just a western omelette with cheese, was of an obvious substandard quality. I've had this type of omelette at every Diner I've ever gone to, let alone been a repeat customer at. When you cut into this type of omelette and there is a genuine puddle that requires more than one napkin to soak up... It is not quality ingredients. That's basic culinary science. In fairness, my husband had no problem with his omelette which was entirely different from mine. The fruit bowl that we ordered for the kids to share also seemed perfectly fine and fresh.

So why in the first paragraph do I highlight lies? Because we asked our waitress point-blank if they had iced coffee. We were told yes they do. Anyone who knows ice coffee, or people like myself who are devotees of coffee craft, knows what quality iced coffee taste like. There's so many different ways to make it including recently popular cold brew Style, that it becomes very easy to spot something other than real ice coffee. What was delivered to our table was unequivocally and incontrovertibly, hot coffee which had been poured over way too much ice!! Not only did it taste more like water than coffee, there were a scant few mostly melted ice cubes floating on the top of the glass.

A person's morning beverage, whether it contains caffeine in some fashion or not, is very important to each individual person for their own personal reasons. If you say you have a beverage and then provide me something that isn't what I actually ordered, but an obviously poor imitation, you are willfully lying to your customer, me! That is a waste of money, if not worse.

It was a Sunday morning and clearly a busy day for them, I would have more appreciated being told "no, we don't have iced coffee today but I could pour coffee over ice..." so that I would have had full information and disclosure to make a choice for myself. When you take that choice away from me, you make it clear you do not value your customers. We may give it another chance during a less crowded time of year, but little things matter and this particular thing means a lot to me personally.
